BLACKGANG
COASTGUARD COTTAGES
The Coastguard Cottages at Blackgang, as you can
see, are in a sad dilapidated state of repair, uninhabitable and now used as
store rooms for the Blackgang Theme Park. The various ones around the
Island were all built to the same specifications and mostly in blocks of
five. Owing to very bad cliff erosion each winter, these at Blackgang are
becoming ever closer to being lost for ever.
