This imposing proud
gentleman, ARTHUR PEERS, was a Warder at Parkhurst from 1881 till the early
1900's, he was a popular member of the staff, regularly participating in
the Entertainments at the officers mess, or recreation ground where fete's
were given for the children.
Note the whisle hanging on the
front of his jacket and the very distinctive
cap.
