AUNT DAISY 

DAISY NINA BARRETT, was born in 1894, daughter of Harry Michael & Emily BARRETT.  Her Father,  Grandfather and Uncles worked for the Isle of Wight Railway, so it seemed quite natural, that when women were needed to take on the jobs during WW1, that were previously carried out by men,  Daisy joined the IW Central Railway for the duration of the war.

Daisy married Auguste COTTON in 1925.  Unfortunately, it was only four years later that she died of consumption.

The photograph above is dated 1916 and shows Daisy wearing her railway uniform.
