RAILWAY WORKERS
WILLIAM BARRETT 
(Coppersmith + Brazier)
Born in Oxford 1826, he married Rebecca Panting and after
having two sons at Bicester they came to the Isle of Wight for the start of the
building of the IW Railways. William remained working for the railway company
as did his three sons. William jnr was a whitesmith, Robert was an engine driver
and Harry was a steam crane driver.
